BRAKE FLUID DOT 5.1

Product code: 721

Performance Level

Performance Level

SAE J1704, FMVSS 571.116 DOT 5 e ISO 4925 Classe 5.1

Description

Bardahl Brake Fluid DOT 5.1 is a synthetic fluid for disc and drum brake hydraulic systems and clutch, of both cars and motorcycles, with superior stability properties at high temperatures, with superior characteristics in terms of resistance to high temperatures and lower viscosity at low ones. Recommended for high performance vehicles. Suitable for all vehicles with ABS.

The high boiling point, both in dry and wet conditions, allows the product to be used in complete safety in case of particularly high temperatures, without the likelihood of the formation of dangerous vapor bubbles within the fluid (Vapor Lock phenomenon). Its excellent fluidity when cold, on the other hand, allows it to be used even at the lowest environmental temperatures.

Bardahl Brake Fluid DOT 5.1 is not corrosive towards metals present in hydraulic systems and does not cause swelling of the rubber parts with which it is in contact (even permanently), thus helping to avoid problems with the seals generally present in braking systems.

Its considerable lubricating power favors the proper functioning of the mechanical parts present in hydraulic circuits and helps to reduce the wear of moving parts.

Bardahl Brake Fluid DOT 5.1 by virtue of its high chemical stability, makes the product unalterable even under the effect of particularly intense thermal stress.

PRECAUTIONS FOR USE

Always follow the vehicle manufacturer's instructions.

Keep the brake fluid in its original container and well closed to prevent moisture absorption. The absorbed moisture significantly decreases the boiling point of the fluid, thus favoring the creation of steam bubbles thus reducing the braking effectiveness of the system.

The fluid can damage paint. Not compatible with mineral and silicone fluids.
